Ollie

My third Mongo Grinders post. This time it's an octopus named Ollie. While these guys aren't the best figures, they are at least unusual in their selection of animals. This is the first skateboarding octopus on BPA.

Backslide

Backslide is another Mongo Grinder. Most of the figures have some clothes but Backslide is just going nude, aside from shoes & sunglasses. 

 

Kickflip

Kickflip is a Mongo Grinders figure, a line of animal toys from 2008 made by Wild Republic. I think these were sold in zoo gift shops. There are a plethora of figures (as seen on the card back) but I have only tracked down 3 so far. The next 2 will appear in coming weeks. All figure attach to the board via suction cups that don't really work that well anymore. First up is Kickflip, a skating frog shown doing an invert on the cardback. Words of wisdon on the card back:

Planet Earth is our only skatepark, treat it with respect!

The back of the card also has the Mongo Grinders backstory, although no mention of why they all push mongo. Apparently they all started skating together at a zoo and then escaped to only to find man had ruined the planet.
