Average Smurf

This skateboard was part of the Escape from New York playset, which was a tie-in to the 2011 Smurfs movie. The Smurf was from the previous year and was just marketed as "Smurf" with no other name. Guess he's Average Smurf. Check the Smurf tag for a bunch of other Smurf stuff.

Bootleg Smurf

You gotta love this dude. Obviously fake but still cruising. Look at the nose on that board! He's dated 1982.

Burger Smurf

Burger Smurf riding a large board. This guy is from 1994. I believe he is part of a set where they put a bunch of existing figures on pull-back skateboards.

This skateboarder Smurf is from a 2009 extreme sports pack.

Skateboarder Smurf

Smurf Pin

A variety of Smurf items have appeared on BPA, and this isn't even the first pin. A generic Smurf is seen here doing a handstand on a board that is going fast enough to kick up a cloud of smoke. Pretty impressive. Previous Smurf appearances: Roll-Along Smurf, Surfin' Smurfs, Invert Smurf, Smurf Mug, Smurfette pin, and Smurfette figure. This puts the Smurfs 1 back from Snoopy in number of appearances (and tied with Garfield).

Smurfette II

Smurfette returns in figure form. She has made a number of appearances here on BPA, most recently as an enamel pin. Prior to that she appeared on a mug and as part of the Surfin' Smurfs figures. This figure is from 2001 and is a Kinder egg surprise. As usual, Smurfette is skating in her signature heels. She's also riding a leaf board, something seen before with the Super Smurf.

Smurfette

Smurfette returns to BPA in pin form. Her previous appearances include a mugshot and a figure in the Surfin' Smurfs set. As with the mug, she appears again skating in high heels.

Smurf Mug

The Smurfs make their 4th appearance on BPA with this mug featuring Smurfette and 2 unidentified Smurfs. This is Smurfette's 2nd appearance; she has previously appeared in figure form as part of the Surfin' Smurfs set. The mug is from 1990 and was made in France. It appears to be part of a set that includes various other sports. Other previous Smurf appearances include Skateboard Smurf with "Halfpipe" and Roll-Along Smurf.

Skateboard Smurf with Halfpipe

Skateboard Smurf with Halfpipe (or Schtrumpf Planche à Roulettes avec Demi-Lune) is a smurf figure in an unusual no-hands invert position. Although he is marketed as coming with a halfpipe he clearly comes with a very small quarterpipe. The back of the packages shows Skateboard Smurf in a different outfit although I do not think that figure was ever made. This figure was released in 2009, shortly before the recent wave of Smurf movies. Other smurfs on BPA include Roll-Along Smurf and the Surfin' Smurfs collection.

Surfin' Smurfs

The Smurfs return with a set of skaters from Hardee's in 1990. These guys are in their beach party attire and are riding some pretty huge boards. It appears these are intended to be surfing smurfs but they slapped wheels on the boards for some reason. I guess that makes them sidewalk surfers. Sassette gets top billing here as she is the only one riding sideways.

Roll-Along Smurf / Super Smurf

This smurf is rolling along on a pretty sweet pig. According to the smurf collecting site Bluebuddies, this is a promo variant with a skateboard shaped deck (as opposed to a leaf shaped deck) and fatter wheels. I'm can't quite track down a year for this guy but the leaf skateboard version is from 1978 (most companies seemed to go to the pig shape around '79-'80).

Edit: Looks like the pig shaped deck figure (Roll-Along Smurf) is from 1990.

Edit: Picked up the "Super Smurf" version with the leaf shaped deck. It not clear which side should be the nose and tail. Unlike the Roll-Along Smurf, the Super Smurf can be taken off the deck. I didn't notice this guy's unusual stance until looking at the side picture. His back foot is facing backwards similar to how a roller skater rides a bowl.
