Don't Be Mistaken

Agression's Don't Be Mistaken LP (Better Youth Organization 1983) was the first skate punk album I heard or saw, which is why it is being featured for post #100. Before that I had heard a fair amount of punk albums, some with occasional skate references, but I had not seen a blatant declaration by a band that they were skaters until I saw Don't Be Mistaken. The cover features a photo of Arthur Lake taken by Glen E. Friedman. The back features a drawing of the band by Jaime Hernandez with a couple decks in the background. The album itself features a great skating song called "Intense Energy," as well as some beach tunes such as "Locals Only."
